Euro 2016: Germany, Belgium stroll cruise the last eight


– Belgium have recorded the highest scoreline of Euro 2016 and are set to meet Wales

– Germany ease past their opponents and now await an epic quarter final clash

Belgium set up a quarter final clash with Wales after they ended an exciting tournament for surprise package, Hungary.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld opened the flood gates as Michy Batshuayi, Eden Hazard and Yannick Carrasco all scored in the second half to complete the rout as it ended 4-0 in favour of the Belgians.




The stage is now set for a litmus test for the Welsh side who now face a star-studded Belgium whom they defeated in the qualifiers enroute to Euro 2016.

Germany eased passed Slovakia by 3-0 to qualify to book their place in the last eight of Euro 2016.

Jerome Boateng scored his first ever goal for Germany in style as he rifled-in a shot form 30 yards to put his team ahead in the 8th minute.

Mario Gomez got the second and Julian Draxler wrapped up an outstanding display as the Germans cruised into the quarter finals of the tournament. Germany await an epic battle in the quarter finals with the winner of Spain and Italy.
